Posture…..
Bad posture creates bad habits, sore back, low energy. Even in karate, posutre is so important, alot of people seem to “lean” forward, or when they try to “get low” they lean forward. Another bad type of posture is “rolling” or “curling” the shoulders forward, this is a common problem, learn to stand up straight, “drop” the shoulders, and “roll” the shoulders back, open up the chest and expand your breathing. The shoulders are a big part in your stability, if you pull your shoulders “up” your weight will follow, also your shoulders need to be relaxed as they play a big “anchor” part when “whipping” your techniques. Pay attention to your shoulders in everything you do, sitting, walking, standing….relax the shoulders, stand/sit up straight, open up the airways and breathe………
